Murci, Tuscan Maremma

L'Asino Vola is in the heart of Maremma Toscana, in the village of Murci, between Scansano and Saturnia Terme. Central Italy.

The location is extremely favorable for hiking and sightseeing trips, as this district is full of evocative landscapes. Scansano, the famous center of Morellino di Scansano D.O.C. Wine, is only 10 km away. With a 30-minute drive you can reach Monte Amiata and its villages. The shores of the Argentario promontory are 45 km away.

L'Asino Vola is less than a 2 hour drive away from both Rome and Florence. It can be an ideal accomodation for long stays to visit more than a few places.

Saturnia and its spa are in the neighborhood of Murci (only 15 minutes away), in an area of historical, archaeological and naturalistic importance.

The waterfalls of Molino and the Gorello (the thermal stream that flows into the natural calcareous basins of the falls) give an opportunity to bath in the therapeutical waters of Saturnia and relax. The entrance is free at any time. In particular, taking a bath at night can be a really evocative experience.

It offers a variety of health spa treatments using the therapeutical propertiesof the waters of Saturnia. 800 liters of water per second gush out of the hot spring; it is sulphurous and has a temperature of 37.5°C.
